NAS Assembly, Configuration & Testing
Every NAS System Professionally Prepared Before Shipment
All NAS systems supplied complete with hard drives or SSDs (where requested) are professionally assembled, configured and thoroughly tested by our technical department before dispatch.
We perform comprehensive quality checks, including HDD SMART testing and NAS burn-in testing, before installing the operating system and initialising the RAID array. These procedures significantly reduce the risk of hardware failures and save valuable time during installation and deployment.
Should any component fail during testing, we will, where possible, replace it immediately with an identical unit from our stock, helping to ensure that your NAS system is delivered fully operational and ready for deployment.
Professional Assembly
Our assembly service includes the installation of hard drives, SSDs, memory upgrades and network interface cards (NICs).
Our experienced technicians follow the manufacturers' recommended procedures and certified compatibility guidelines to ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability.

HDD SMART Testing
Every NAS system supplied with one or more hard drives undergoes SMART testing on each installed drive before shipment.
This precaution significantly reduces the risk of early drive failures and helps ensure that every storage device is operating correctly before leaving our technical department.

NAS Burn-In Testing
All NAS systems supplied complete with hard drives or SSDs are subjected to extensive burn-in testing under sustained workloads involving intensive I/O operations, CPU utilisation, memory usage and network traffic.
Testing continues with the pre-installation of the operating system and RAID initialisation, ensuring that every system has already completed several hours of operation under significant load before shipment.

Operating System Pre-installation
DNL Trading systematically pre-installs the operating system in order to perform SMART testing and NAS burn-in testing.
This procedure, carried out by our technical department, verifies system stability and allows the initial configuration to be completed in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended best practices.
We always install the latest stable and manufacturer-approved operating system version, avoiding Beta releases or unofficial downloads to help protect your NAS during this critical stage.

RAID Initialisation
The RAID level is configured according to the customer's requirements or, where no specific instructions are provided, in accordance with our technical recommendations and the manufacturer's best practices.
Upon request, our Sales & Quotations Department will be pleased to advise on the most appropriate RAID level, storage volume and file system for your specific application.
