Our NAS Testing Procedures
All NAS storage solutions, complete with hard drives or SSDs (if requested by the customer), are delivered fully assembled and tested. We conduct thorough checks, including SMART HDD tests and NAS burn tests, and install the operating system with the RAID array already initialized. These procedures significantly reduce the risk of failures and save you valuable time in hardware setup.
If we identify a faulty component during testing, we will immediately replace it with one available in stock, thus avoiding unpleasant surprises at the time of installation.
Assembly
Our assembly service includes the integration of hard drives, SSDs, RAM, and network cards into your device. Thanks to the expertise of our technicians, we ensure high-quality installation, following manufacturer recommendations and ensuring certified compatibility.

SMART HDD Test
All solutions that include one or more drives are delivered assembled with the SMART test performed. This precaution greatly reduces the likelihood of errors and ensures that the units are fully operational for data protection.

NAS Burn Test
Purchased NAS solutions, complete with hard drives or SSDs, are tested under high demands for IOP, CPU, RAM, and intense network traffic. The testing continues with the pre-installation of the operating system and the initialization of the RAID. Your device will have undergone several hours of operation under significant load before being delivered.

Operating System Pre-installation
DNL Trading systematically pre-installs the operating system to perform the SMART tests and the NAS burn test. This process, carried out by our technical department, ensures the stability of the device and sets the initial configurations according to the best practices recommended by the manufacturer. We always install the latest version validated by the manufacturer, avoiding the use of beta or downloaded versions to protect your device from external access during this critical phase.

RAID Initialization
The RAID cluster is configured based on your specific requests or, in the absence of instructions, according to our recommendations: RAID 1 for configurations with 2 bays, RAID 5 for up to 9 bays, and RAID 50/60 for more than 9 bays. We encourage you to contact our sales team to discuss and choose the type of volume and file system that best suits your application needs.
