Zidoo Continuous Evolution

The new 2023 Zidoo products represent a natural evolution of the previous 1619DR generation. They gain an appreciable performance boost, HDMI 2.1, more RAM/storage across the range, Android 11, Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6 and AV1/HEVC codecs. What stays the same is Zidoo's best possible picture quality, excellent media management software, rock-solid commitment to firmware support and outstanding hardware quality.

Specialist Media Chipset

Realtek RTD1619BPD chipset is designed specifically for media playback and audio/video quality. Faster performance than the previous generation with a higher CPU clock, larger CPU bus and updated GPU.

XMOS+ ESS9068 DAC

True audiophile ESS9068 DAC supporting hardware decoding of MQA/DSD512/768kHz@32-bit. USB DAC input compatible with Windows/MacOS/Android. Balanced XLR output.

Dolby Vision MEL & FEL

Supports all Dolby Vision profiles (4, 5, 6, 7, 8 all levels) including dual layer profiles 4 and 7 using the base layer + RPU. Specific format support includes P7 BD-ISO/MKV/MP4 MEL & FEL, P4 MKV/MP4 MEL & FEL, P5 MKV/MP4 and P8 in MKV/MP4. In addition to Dolby Vision Direct and Dolby Vision LLDV, Dolby's VS10 HDR processing engine can improve dynamic range for all HDR material.

HDR10+/HLG/HDR 

HDR10+ dynamic metadata processing with accurate HDR10 metadata (MaxFall, MaxCll). Support for HLG and regular HDR10.

HDMI 2.1 

4K 60Hz output (HDR10/HLG/HDR10+/Dolby Vision). 12Bit, BT.2020 wide color range and YCbCr 4:4:4 colour space.

Dual Internal 3.5" HDD bays

Two front access plug-and-play internal 3.5" SATA 3.0 hard drive bays. Hidden access, integrated into the front panel. Max 17.6TB per drive.

Dual HDMI Ports

One HDMI 2.1 port for 4K video and audio and one HDMI 1.4a port for audio. Allows upgrade to 4K whilst retaining HDMI 1.4 AVR for HD Audio.

Zidoo Home Theatre

Zidoo has developed the Zidoo Home Theatre media browser for almost a decade. Running on Zidoo UHD5000 it is fast, fully featured, and the best way to browse your movie/TV collection. Zidoo Home Theatre supports full and accurate automatic media scraping (multi-language), thumbnails, posters, synopsis, search, categories, remote database editing (from any web browser on the same network), and support for NFO (Kodi) parsing. Support for SMBv1, SMBv2, SMBv3, NFS, and DLNA network protocols.

Zidoo Video Player

Modern and easy-to-use Zidoo Video Player with a powerful subtitle function. Format support including Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, AV1, HEVC, H.265, MVC 3D @23.976Hz, HDR>SDR and SDR>HDR, ATMOS, DTS:X. Easy access to image parameters. Multi-language subtitle function with customisable fonts, subtitle download, SUP&ASS special effects, and forced subtitle support.

Zidoo Music Player

Zidoo Music Player with music library, lyrics and search. Audio format support including native DSD passthrough, DSD512, PCM 768KHz@32bit, CD output at 44.1Khz, SACD, DFF, DSF, FLAC, CUE lists, MP3, OGG. etc.

Auto Refresh & Resolution Switching

Fully configurable fast automatic resolution switch (e.g. 1080p video at 1080p HDMI output, 4K video at 4K HDMI output) and fast refresh rate change (output Hz = input fps, e.g. 23.976fps @ 23.976Hz).

ISO Playback

Playback of DVD/BD/UHD-BD and 3D Blu-Ray ISO, including full support for auto resolution/refresh and seamless branching, including 3D ISO seamless branching. Blu-Ray/Blu-Ray/3D Blu-Ray/DVD ISO support full menu on approx 75% of ISOs, the rest play with a custom Zidoo menu.

Streaming Support

Supports Roon Ready, DLNA, AirPlay and Spotify streaming. Other streaming apps can be installed. Widevine L1 support.

Web Browser Remote Access

Custom Zidoo developed a web access interface with full access to the device interface via a web browser on the same LAN. Comprehensive media library editing via a web browser.

Bluetooth Remote & Remote App

Full-sized backlit remote with Bluetooth for non-line-of-sight operation. Learning function to replicate existing remotes. Zidoo developed an Android/iOS remote app with full Zidoo Home Theatre browsing.
